This is a fast-paced program (Technical & Management) designed to address the job profile requirements of Offshore structural  Engineer – Mechanical /Marine relative to the Engineering Structures, Design Concepts, FEM Approach, Design optimization & Validation with software tools – ANSYS WB & ANSYS Classic. The programme features structural finite element system containing industry-specific features for offshore and marine engineers.


Module: 1 - *Duration: Week 1 & 2

  • FE Concepts & Practice
  • ANSYS – FEA & ELE. Lib
  • Understanding the process of offshore design
  • Computational method of Engineering
  • Model generation
  • Static analysis
  • Time and frequency domain solutions
  • Soil / pile / structure interaction
  • Joint fatigue assessment in the time and frequency domain
  • Member code checking.

 

Module: 2 - *Duration: Week 3 & 4

  • Hydrodynamic assessment of all types of offshore and marine structures
  • FE Modeling & Mesh Generation
  • Mooring systems
  • Frequency domain analysis
  • ANSYS Mechanical- Classic
  • ANSYS Design Modeler
  • ANSYS – Linear/Static Analysis.
  • Contact Analysis
  • ANSYS – Transient /Dynamic/Modal Analysis.
  • ANSYS- Workbench- Structure/Thermal Analysis.
  • Structural substantiation & validation
  • Time domain analysis in regular and irregular waves for moored structures.
  • Cable dynamics stand-alone & fully coupled.
  • Running radiation and diffraction analyses.
  • Project management

Session Timings

  • Batch 1: 10:00AM to 2:00PM (Monday-Friday)
  • Batch 2: 2:30PM to 6:30PM (Monday-Friday)
  • Batch 3: 9:30AM to 1:30PM (only on Saturdays)
